Bill has a long history within the supply chain having started with the Maersk Group in 1998, worked in various leadership positions at APM Terminals, Bridge Terminal Transport, Damco, and Damco Distribution Services responsible for strategic planning and business development, operational performance, commercial growth and building strong, collaborative business relationships as President for Damco Distribution Services.
Bill most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Total Terminals International in the Port of Long Beach. With over 25 years of combined terminal operations, trucking, warehousing and distribution experience, Bill brings a wealth of knowledge to the position and will serve as an important leader and principle of the A1 Group Companies.
Bill has been involved in every aspect of container transport, terminal operations, and inland logistics, which will help to strengthen supply chain reliability and performance for our customers. Through innovative technology and best-in-class, efficient procedures we’ll offer customers the highest level of service and support to streamline their supply chain and drive bottom-line results. The focus of the A1 Companies is to simplify the supply chain solutions for our customers.
Ricardo began his career in logistics and international transport as a Trainee in the Maersk International Shipping Education program, holding different leadership positions in Finance, Operations, service delivery and product management. Over 17 years with Maersk he had the opportunity to develop his multinational career in Venezuela, Ukraine, Mexico, and Panama with a regional coverage in Latin America and the Caribbean.
He has extensive freight forwarding and supply chain management experience, with strong financial and operational knowledge. As a commercially focused CFO Ricardo maximized financial performance as the foundation of the successful turnaround of Damco/Maersk in Mexico and LatinAmerica. As COO he was responsible for the operational performance and development of Inland transportation, CHB, Air Freight, Ocean Freight, WnD and special project logistics across Latin America.
